Robbery accused granted bail

An alleged robbery and rapist accused Samuel George, 27, on Friday reappeared in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan and pleaded not guilty to the robbery charge.
George denied the charge which stated that on 28 March, 2016 at East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, he robbed Evelyn Peters of one phone valued 00, and ,000 in cash.
Bail was not refused by Police Prosecutor Deniro Jones after he informed the court that investigations into the robbery are complete and the file is ready, he however noted that the rape is still being investigated.
George of Lot ‘A’ East Ruimveldt, made his first appearance earlier this month, when he dramatically entered court, while being transported by policemen, bitterly crying and shouting “ I am wrongfully accused..” .
George was granted ,000 bail and will make his next court appearance on April 25.
