Tameshwar Deochan, a labourer of Number 69 Village in Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne), has been slapped with two counts of armed robbery.
Deochan appeared before Magistrate Alex Moore at the Springlands Magistrate’s Court.

The charges were laid under Section 222 (c) of the Criminal Law Offences Act Chapter 8:01. It is alleged that the 30-year-old, while being armed with a dangerous weapon, robbed Samantha Singh and Armanauth Ragonauth.
The accused was not required to plead and was released on $500,000 bail. The case will continue on June 19. (G15)
