Rose Hall Canje CCCC congratulates Thorne on WI U19 selection
The executive and members of the Rose Hall Canje Community Centre Cricket Club have extended congratulations to Isai Thorne as he becomes the first cricketer from the club to represent the West Indies at the Under-19 level at the age of only 16 years.
Thorne is rated as one of the fastest bowlers of his generation. Currently in England with the West Indies U19 squad and fellow Guyanese Matthew Nandu to play six youth ODIs against England U19, the right-arm pacer had a solid start with the ball, picking up 3-51 in 10 overs.
“The members of our club send best wishes to Thorne and Nandu, as not only is our club proud of you, but the entire Berbice. Rose Hall Canje CCCC extends best wishes to the West Indies U19 team on their tour”, the club’s message read.
