Rose Hall defeat Hopetown

The Rose Hall Town Jammers defeated Hopetown Stealers 57-45 when the Berbice Amateur Basketball Association 2017 Basketball Tournament continued on Sunday at the Leitch Field Basketball Court. The venue was originally slated to be Hopetown but had to be changed to Leitch field because of inclement weather.
Roy Bourne Murray top scored with 21 points for Jammers and received excellent support from Mikel Lewis who contributed 15 points while David Hope added 11 points.

Action in the Berbice Amateur Basketball Association tournament

The Jammers led 17-11 at the end of the first quarter and 24-20 at the half.
Ruel Edwards and Kelon Webster were the top scorers with 18 and 13 points respectively for Hopetown.
The Ithaca Hardliners will take on Canje Knights next at the Vryman’s Erven Basketball Court in New Amsterdam as the round robin continues.
Six teams are involved in the competition which is being played on a round- robin format in two zones. Zone A includes Canje Knights, Fryish Black Sharks and Ithaca Hardliners while Zone B comprises of Rose Hall Town Jammers, Hopetown Stealers and N.A Warriors.
Trophy, cash prizes and other incentives are up for grabs.
