West Bank Demerara (WBD) bus driver Brian Simpson was spared a court penalty when he appeared before Wales Magistrate Rushell Liverpool last week.
He was charged for not being the holder of a road service licence even though he had driven his BKK 8861 Route 31 minibus. Police found him breaking the law on October 30 on the La Grange Public Road, WBD, and when Simpson was arraigned at the Wales Magistrate’s Court on Thursday, he admitted that the prosecution’s facts were correct.
After he entered his guilty plea, he told the Magistrate that he was not aware that the document had expired.
He also admitted that he was fined previously for a speeding offence; however, he was reprimanded and discharged for his most recent traffic offence.
