Row over $120 ends in murder at bus park

Morven Nurse of Haslington, East Coast Demerara (ECD), a 30-year-old minibus conductor also known as “2pack”, was on Wednesday stabbed to death by another minibus conductor during an argument over $120.
The incident occurred at around 11:00h at the Route 44 Bus Park located at Commerce Street in Georgetown.

The Police have said that Nurse and the suspect were at the bus park when an argument erupted between them, during which they began to pelt each other with empty beer bottles and bricks. As the confrontation escalated, the suspect whipped out a knife and stabbed Nurse to his chest.
Nurse ran a short distance before falling to the ground, while the suspect escaped in a minibus. Nurse attempted to get up and walk, but again fell to the ground. He was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he died while undergoing surgery.

Eyewitnesses at the scene told this publication that the duo were arguing over $120.
Following the incident, the Police issued a wanted bulletin for the suspect, who has been identified as 27-year-old Paul Junior Lynch.
Lynch’s last known address is Lot 1276 Bachelor’s Adventure, East Coast Demerara (ECD).

However, some hours after a wanted bulletin was issued for Paul Junior Lynch’s arrest for murder, the 27-year-old minibus conductor surrendered to the Police at Brickdam in the company of two attorneys.
