Rural Constable Deoraj Harrichand was celebrated as Information Technology (IT) Instructor of the Year 2025 at the ZARA Computer Centres Awards and Dinner Gala held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the Mirage Banquet Hall, Alberttown. Harrichand was recognised for his exceptional dedication and performance in technical training. Woman Constable Ashley Benjamin and Rural Constable Shemar Collins were named runners-up. In the Centre Administrator of the Year 2025 category, Woman Constable Shaniah Moore received the award for her exemplary administrative leadership. Runners-up included Constable Calvin Worrell, Woman Constable Ayana Douglas, and Lance Corporal Travel Eastman.

The gala also served to acknowledge the contributions of officers whose work often goes unseen but is essential to the smooth operation of the ZARA Computer Centres. The ceremony was attended by senior officers, including Woman Senior Superintendent Dr Kendell, Head of the Special Projects Unit; Woman Senior Superintendent Sonia Herbert, Director of Training; and Assistant Superintendent Gladwin Hanover, Commandant of the Essequibo Campus. The evening concluded with messages of appreciation for the awardees’ commitment and encouragement to continue their outstanding contributions to the Guyana Police Force and the wider community.
