Jamaica Tallawahs all-rounder Andre Russell has vowed to shine with bat and ball, and in the field, during this year’s Caribbean Premier League (CPL).

leadership role with the Tallawahs this year.
“I have not really set any goals as yet. I like to see how my first two games go in a tournament, and then I start setting goals because I like to set realistic goals. If in my first two games I score two half-centuries, or if I get five or six wickets, I could look to get 20 wickets or 500 runs,” Russell told The Gleaner.
He was speaking at the VIP Lounge at the Norman Manley International Airport on Wednesday as sponsors Appleton Estate hosted a send-off party for the team.
“I feel good, feel relaxed. The only thing I am worried about is a little niggle at the back of my leg, but I think I will be fine for the rest of the CPL once I get the treatment I need,” he continued.
The Tallawahs will open their 2016 campaign today against St Kitts Nevis Patriots in St Kitts. (Jamaica Gleaner)
