Dear Editor,
First there was an alleged homophobic assault meted out to certain persons at an event in Berbice. This was followed by highly incensed and inflammatory comments and remarks on a political stage. Now there is another assault on a teacher, allegedly this time on a homophobic slur hurled by a student to the teacher. Now teachers are on protest action.
What do these incidents have in common? They are highly incensed-based and fury-laced with ugly outcomes. What a sad situation for our country.
