The Suicide And Violence Eradication (SAVE) Guyana organisation will hold a mental health and domestic violence workshop to Region Five (Mahaica-Berbice) on Saturday, in efforts to reduce alarming statistics.
According to the organisation, the participants range from doctors, nurses, and social workers, while the presenters include Canadian Certified Addiction Specialist, Shirvington Hannays; Training Director of SAVE Guyana, Leslyn Holder; and Drug Treatment Specialist, Philip Drayton.
In recent time, there have been numerous cases of domestic violence in the region, which has led to fatalities. This workshop is aimed at addressing these issues through continuous efforts.
