Another epic youth showdown between Anna Regina Secondary School and Reliance Youths concluded last Saturday.

Played at the Anna Regina Secondary School Ground, the home team made 179-7 off their allotted 20 overs, with Captain Havinesh Persaud making 38. He received support from Avinash Shivpersaud with 29, and Samuel Narine with 28, among the other top-scorers.

Reliance’s bowling was led by Navindra Lall, who starred with 3 for 32 runs off his 4 overs. Regrettably, his team failed to chase the big target, and were shot down for a mere 80 all out off 10.5 overs, with Nasio Toll leading with 14 and Krishna Lall supporting with 12.
Bowling for Anna Regina, 12- year-old Raj Ramballi assumed the role of tormentor-in-chief. His returns of 5 for 11 off 2.5 overs included a hat-trick, and he was ably supported by Havinesh Persaud and Chilendra Kishore with 2 wickets each.
