A bandit armed with a pair of scissors robbed a man of his motorcycle and cellphone while on Sheriff Street, Georgetown.
Police said the 40-year-old victim was on Sheriff Street on Friday at a fast-food caravan when the “identifiable” suspect approached him from an unknown direction, pulled out a scissors, and demanded that the victim hand over his valuables.
Fearful for his life, the man complied and the suspect escaped with his blue Lifan
Motorcycle, CG 8128, valued at $180,000 and his cellular phone, valued at $10,000. He headed south along Sheriff Street. An investigation has been launched.
Just a few days ago two pastors were robbed as they were about to enter a supermarket on Sheriff Street.
It was reported that the pastors, a 33-year-old male and a 36-year-old female, were heading to the supermarket when they were approached by two men on a black motorcycle.
The pillion rider reportedly dismounted the bike and pointed a gun at the pastors while demanding that they hand over all their belongings. Both pastors initially refused, but the gunman fired a round in their direction, which did not hit them, but caused them to let go of their valuables.
Following the robbery, the pillion rider mounted the motorcycle and both perpetrators made good their escape.
