Sea Otters hosts successful inter club meet

Young swimmers recently got the opportunity to stretch their arms and legs, as Swim Academy Sea Otters hosted their Inter Club swim meet last weekend.
With the action going down at the aquatic Center Liliendaal, droves of young swimmers took to the pool to show off their ever improving skills. However, it was the usual suspects who championed the one day competition.

Little Aleka Persaud of Orca swim club who is big on winning, dominated her Girl’s 11-12 category with a win in every encounter. At the end of the day, she took away the 50m backstroke, 50m breast stroke, 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly and the 100m freestyle. In similar fashion, Leon Seaton jr. of Silver Shark swim club also walked away with wins every time he touched the pool. He copped the 50m backstroke, 50m breast stroke, 50m butterfly and the 50m freestyle.
Although the competition was already intense, the competitive duo of Raekwon Noel of Sea Otters and Eathan Gonsalves of Dorado Speed swim club went back and forth with their wins. Noel got the upper hand in the 50m backstroke, 50m breast stroke and 50m butterfly. However, he had to take second place when Gonsalves dominated the 50m and 100m freestyle.
Daniel Scott of Dorado Speed swim club and Shareefah Lewis of Sea Otters also won big in their respective categories.
By the end of the day’s activities, it was Dolphin Speed Swim club that walked away with first prize copping 445 points, Sea Otters took second place with 433 points and Dorado Speed rounded off the podium with 427 points.
