A 28-year-old security guard who was recently slapped with robbery and assault charges is back at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts, this time slapped with a fraud charge.
Akeem Bacon appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Isaacs-Marcus where he was arraigned for fraudulent conversion.
Bacon, of Grove Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara (EBD) plead not guilty to the charge which stated that between February 15 and 17, 2019, at Mandela Avenue, while being solely entrusted by Oscar Stull with the sum of $120,000, he fraudulently converted same to his own use and benefit.
Prosecutor Bhisnu Hunte did not object to bail.
Magistrate Isaacs-Marcus granted bail in the sum of $50,000 and set June 3 for this next court appearance.
Bacon was recently charged for assaulting Patreema Isaacs on October 13, 2018, at West Ruimveldt, Georgetown, and on the same date and location, he also stole one Android phone from her. Bacon was also granted bail on those charges.
