AIBA One Star boxing Referee/Judge Romona Agard will be facilitating a seminar for persons who are desirable of pursuing a career of either a Referee or a Judge.
The seminar will be held at the Andrew “Six-head” Lewis Gym in Albouystown beginning today at 10:00hrs and will continue on Sunday at the same time.
The seminar is backed by the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA) and is expected to attract a fair amount of persons.
Agard was recently selected by the Americas Boxing Confederation (AMBC) to officiate at the upcoming South American Youth Games later this year in October.
She created history in Guyana when she became the first from the Land of Many Waters to be selected for such a prestigious tournament. Agard and Richard Braithwaite were successful at the AIBA One Star exams last December.
