Several injured in Linden highway accident

Several persons were injured on Sunday during a motor vehicular accident which occurred at about 10:15 hrs at the Millie’s Junction, Soesdyke Linden Highway when the driver of a motor car lost control of his vehicle.
The motor car # PVV 5602 was at the time being driven by Beresford Harry, 49 of Lot 16 Water Lilly Road, Wismar Linden who sustained serious injuries to the head.
The other occupants of the car who sustained injuries are Shakel McAlmont, 21 of Lot 19 Amelia’s Ward, Linden and Trecia Aulder, 28 of Mocha, East Bank Demerara.
According to Police report, motor car # PVV 5602 was proceeding east along the northern side of Amelia’s Ward Public Road, Linden at a fast rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and collided with the Digicel signboard at Millie’s Junction then a wooden barrier on the eastern side of the said junction and into a clump of bushes.

the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC) in an unconscious condition.
He is said to have received traumatic injuries to the head. The injured were reportedly seen and examined by a doctor on duty and were admitted. The driver and Shakel McAlmont were however later transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) for further medical treatment. Investigations are ongoing.
