Dear Editor,
The shenanigans at GECOM continue, with more frustration of its work.
The same way the declaration of results was frustrated, so, too, is the work of the commission.
Was the court case discontinued just so the inevitable could be frustrated and delayed?
It is still puzzling why the vote could not be taken? Up to time of the vote, the meeting was constitutionally convened. All of a sudden, the meeting becomes unconstitutional, even though there is a legal chairperson.
So it seems the chair is not in control of meetings, or run meetings, but rather the Opposition commissioners. They decide when to adjourn meetings. They simply walk out or log out.
Sincerely,
Shamshun Mohamed
