Siblings granted bail for assaulting each other

Wayne Wilson and Tiesha Wilson, both of East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, appeared before Senior Magistrate Leron Daly and were granted bail on assault charges.
It is alleged that on March 15, 2021, at East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, Tiesha Wilson made use of abusive language towards Wayne Wilson. It was further stated that on the same day, she also made use of threatening language towards him.
Meanwhile, Wayne was charged with assault. It is alleged that on March 15, at East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, he unlawfully assaulted Teisha Wilson so as to cause her actual bodily harm. Furthermore, on March 15, he also made use of abusive language towards her.
In stating the facts of the case, the Police prosecutor explained that on the day in question at East Ruimveldt, Georgetown, Wayne and Tiesha had breached the peace bond.
Tiesha was granted bail in the sum of $5000 per charge while Wayne was placed on $15,000 bail for the assault charge and $5000 bail for his latter charge. The siblings are set to return to court on April 21, 2021.
Meanwhile, Monifah Hackett of East La Penitence, Georgetown, also made a court appearance to answer to the charge of unlawful wounding.
Police stated that in November 2020 at Tucville, Georgetown, she unlawfully and maliciously wounded Police Sergeant Clive Clarke.
Further, the Police prosecutor stated that on the day in question, Hackett allegedly took a metal spade and dealt the Sergeant one blow to the right side of his face. Hackett pleaded not guilty to the charge and was granted bail in the sum of $30,000.
The matter has since been adjourned to April 22.
Also appearing before Magistrate Daly for an unlawfully wounding charge was Denzil Benjamin. The charge read to him by the Senior Magistrate stated that between March 12 and March 14, at Brickdam, Georgetown, he unlawfully wounded Shane Davidson.
Benjamin was granted bail in the sum of $30,000. The matter has been adjourned to May 21.
