A day to remember for Kevin Sinclair is the day he delivered a spectacular all-round performance that led Guyana Harpy Eagles to a thrilling 10-run victory over the Windward Islands Volcanoes in the Regional Super50 two nights ago.
Sinclair, who scored 41 runs and took two crucial wickets, was named “the Man of the Match” for his outstanding contributions.
After the game, Sinclair humbly shared his thoughts, saying, “I just looked to contribute with the bat and the ball today, and my hard work paid off. To put in this performance for my team is always special, and I love representing Guyana, so to produce this performance and secure the win is something special.”
Sinclair went on to emphasize the strength of the team’s unity, both on and off the field. He spoke of their unwavering support for one another, and the collective effort that drives their success.
“We have a strong unit, and we look to back each other on and off the field. For me, once you bat, bowl, and field well, you will win this tournament, so it’s just taking it one step at a time, game by game, ball by ball, and we will push to take the title.”
Reflecting on his own batting, Sinclair acknowledged his recent good form, but highlighted the importance of performing under pressure. “I’ve been batting well recently, so I would just look to continue in that form. But coming into that pressure situation, I just looked to knock it around a bit, pick off the bad balls, and luckily I got off and put my team in a better position.”
Sinclair’s resilience and ability to rise to the occasion certainly made the difference in the match, and his words reflect the commitment and determination of the Guyana Harpy Eagles as they strive for success in the Regional Super50 tournament.
