Digicel Schools Football Championship 2016…
Sir Leon’s Lesson rocketed to the South Georgetown title in the Digicel Schools Football Championship when they defeated a hapless Lodge Secondary 15-0 on Friday at the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) Ground, Camp Ayangana.

George was the first to score when he took a shot from the right edge of the box in the 17th; seven minutes later, he took a similar shot, this time from the left side which sailed over the keeper’s head.
Lodge came under attack from a series nifty offensive plays but they withstood the pressure until Brandt scored from inside the 18-yards box with piercing strike in the 33rd.
George, who was a menace on the left wing, got his third goal when he wrapped his left foot around the ball unleashing a powerful strike that beat then keeper to his right in the 39th; on the brink of half time, Brant scored once more, capitalizing on rebound off the keeper.
Upon resumption, Lodge made some changes to their team but that did not stop the onslaught, as ten goals were recorded in the second half, the first of which was the Brandt’s fourth, with a successful shot from 25 yards from target in the 53rd.
