Sister of murdered Rose Hall man critical after stabbing incident

Less than a week after a man was beaten to death in Rose Hall Town, Berbice, his sister is now critical after she was stabbed during his wake on Wednesday evening.
The injured woman has been identified as Maureen Sundarsingh of Lot 316 Fifth Street, Rose Hall Town. She was reportedly attacked and stabbed during an argument with another woman, who, Guyana Times understands, is related to the man who allegedly killed Sundarsingh’s brother.
The injured woman is battling for her life at the New Amsterdam Hospital. Her brother, Wayne Sundarsingh, called “Wino”, was allegedly beaten unconscious during a drinking spree at Bulletwood Street last Saturday, but died a few hours later.
Meanwhile, Police have arrested three persons in relation to the stabbing incident on Wednesday. Up to press time, Maureen was listed as critical at the Intensive Care Unit of the New Amsterdam Hospital.
