Skeletal remains found in abandoned building

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a person whose skeleton was found in an abandoned two-storey building at High and Princes Streets, Georgetown.
Though the discovery was made on June 3, the information was only released to the media Wednesday as Police are still trying to ascertain the identity of the person. It is unclear if the remains are that of a male or female.
Reports are that about 07:30h on June 3, a security guard who works nearby reported to the Police that an “obnoxious scent” was coming from the building.
Upon arriving on the scene, the cops went into the unoccupied wooden and concrete building, where they found the skeletal remains on the floor.
The scene was processed and the remains were taken to the Lyken Funeral Home.
