Slingerz are the Champion of Champions

Guyana Football Federation (GFF) inaugural Stag Elite League concluded on Sunday with Slingerz ending as overall champions.
Slingerz defeated Alpha United 1-0 in a battle dubbed Champion of Champions at the Leonora Stadium to conclude all action in the League.
A 73rd minute Devon Millington goal was the decider for the match which ended in favour of the west side unit.

The game was use to adjudge an overall winner of the League, since there were different winners in the Genesis and Finale segments. With Slingerz winning the initial part, the Genesis and just over a week ago Alpha won the Finale on penalty kicks after 0-0 draw in regular and overtime.
Prior to the Champion of Champions match, Den Amstel and Western Tiger played to a 1-1 draw. Kevaughn Ward opened Den Amstel’s account in the 55 th minute while Jamal Haynes replied in the 73rd minute for Western Tigers.
