Soesdyke man wanted for murder of GEA employee

Nine years after the disappearance of Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) employee, Levoy Taljit, the Guyana Police Force (GPF) issued a wanted bulletin for a Soesdyke man for questioning in relation to the murder.

Wanted is 44-year-old Ryvan Shervin Francis of Lot 4 Sharma Alley, Soesdyke, EBD for the 2013 murder of the former GEA employee.

Francis was previously held for questioning in Taljit’s disappearance in December, 2013, after he was reportedly found in possession of some of the missing man’s belongings.
He was subsequently released from custody without a charge being instituted against him. Back then, he had admitted selling a phone belonging to Taljit and hiding his Toyota Raum motorcar which was found along the Linden/Soesdyke Highway. Taljit of Anira Street, Queenstown was 25-years-old at the time of his disappearance.
The police is asking anyone who has information about the whereabouts of the Francis to contact them on telephone numbers 216-0251, 216-0254, 216-0251, 444-3429, 225-6978, 225-8196 or the nearest police station.
