Sonia Noel takes book-signing event to Hollywood, FL with fashion extravaganza

Guyana’s Honorary Consul to Florida, Ramzan Roshanali hosted a book signing, fashion and inspiration event for Guyanese designer and philanthropist, Sonia Noel at the popular Tropics Restaurant in Hollywood, Florida.
The beautiful and flamboyant Anne Humphrey from “The Anne Humphrey Show” expressed how elated she was to emcee this inspiring event. Noel mandates all the events begin with prayers, which were done by Althea Gravesandy.
The honorary consul welcomed all in attendance and commended Noel for her determination and incredible drive to make this happen not only for her but for others.
Hazelle Roger, Mayor of the City of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, give brief remarks and spoke about women excelling in various fields, including politics. She welcomed Noel, who has an honorary doctorate, to South Florida and commended her cultural ambassadorial mission. She reiterated the importance of such contributions that inspire youth and women around the world.
Noel gave an overview of her books and shared some of her personal stories. Lots of heads were nodding and you could hear things like “so true”, “love it”, “needed to hear this”. “I am thoroughly enjoying my journey and I find myself celebrating more when I am in the valley.
“There is just something compelling about looking at the mountain when you are in the valley knowing because of your faith, you will get to the mountain top,” she told her audience.
Bethany Love, who is one of the co-authors for “Women across Borders with a Mission” read an excerpt from her chapter. Love flew from Arizona to be part of this event and she will be planning the Arizona launch later this year.

She drew the audience in with her story and a few persons became emotional, wiping tears away. It shows that all our stories were meant to inspire and someone out there is waiting on your story.
The fashion display brought some excitement especially to the ladies and a demonstration was done showing the five ways to wear some of Sonia designs that can work from the beach to the ballroom.
It was obviously branded a Guyana event with the Guyana flags and photos of the Guyanese Cabinet used as decorations.
Some well-known names in the Caribbean community were also at the event.
