Akeem Booker, a 21-year-old mason, of C Field, Sophia, Greater Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to a charge of fraudulent conversion when he appeared before the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on Wednesday morning.
Magistrate Fabayo Azore read the charge which stated that the young man on
April 14, 2017, being solely entrusted by Virtual Complainant (VC) Bazzel Moore with one weeding machine valued at $360, 000, fraudulently converted same to his own use and benefit.
The unrepresented defendant entered into a not-guilty plea and was granted bail in the sum of $50,000.
Booker returns to court on June 15, 2017.
