Travis Sobers of 3229 David’s Place, South Ruimveldt, Georgetown pleaded not guilty to a break-and-enter charge when he was arraigned on Monday before Georgetown Magistrate Judy Latchman.
Particulars of that charge allege that on May 19 at about 03:30h, the 32-year-old attempted to break and enter the Lamaha Place, Georgetown dwelling house of Dion Glasgow by going through a window.
However, the woman was awakened by a noise, and upon inspection saw the defendant at her window. He managed to escape, but was later pointed out and apprehended by Police Officers.![](https://guyanatimesgy.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/break-and-enter-1.jpg)
The Prosecutor objected to bail being granted the defendant because he had given the Police a different address to the one he gave in court, shows that he was a flight risk.
Magistrate Latchman nevertheless placed the defendant on $150,000 bail, and instructed that he return to court on June 12, 2017.
