Guinness Cage Indoor Competition

The final round of group stage matches in the Guinness/Three Peat Cage Indoor competition was played on Thursday evening at the National Gymnasium and fans were in for a treat as there were several surprises on the night.
No one was prepared to see Sparta Boss frustrated and ultimately dumped out of the competition at the hands of North Ruimveldt. Some would say they flattered to deceive with a win on Tuesday but contrived to lose 2-0 on Thursday.
Scoring for North Ruimveldt was Travis Grant in the 2nd minute while Gerald Grittens sealed the win in the 11th minute.
Earlier in the night Pike Street and Mocha were the benefactors of walkovers when their opponents Showstoppers and Tiger Bay failed to show up.

Leopold Street ensured qualification for the quarter-finals with a 3-0 defeat of Champion Boys off the back of an Okeene Fraser Hat-trick in the 4th, 6th and 12th minutes.
Jamal Pedro netted a first half brace in the 3rd and 4th minutes to help West front Road-Gold is Money win 2-0 over Hustlers and qualify for a quarter-final spot in the process.
MBK All-Stars run in the tournament came to an end as Back Circle routed them 4-0 with a hat-trick from Runnel Gordon in the 7th, 12th and 13th minutes while Selwyn Williams also scored in the 3rd minute.
Despite losing to Albouystown A 2-1 on penalty kicks, Future Stars also progressed to the quarter-finals.
