The St Ignatius Tourism & Business Development Group was recently established with a shared vision to support and enhance the economic growth of the community through the promotion of tourism and the development of local businesses.
Those elected to the group are Chairwoman Sharla Hernandez; Vice Chairman Roldon Welcome; Secretary Sunita Mohabir; Treasurer Claudette Martin; Public Relations Officer Cherryl Rodrigues; Business Development Officer Jonathan Joseph; Cultural Officer Richardson Wilson; Environmental Officer Shirlin Marco; Youth Representative Zena Cabral; and Women’s Representative Kiesha Benedict.

The newly elected group remains committed to working collaboratively with the Village Council, community stakeholders, and residents to identify opportunities that will strengthen our local economy while preserving the unique cultural and environmental heritage of our community.
The core objectives of the group include promoting St Ignatius as a vibrant and attractive destination for visitors; supporting small and emerging businesses within the village; encouraging sustainable and community-driven development initiatives; and creating partnerships that foster long-term economic resilience.
