In this regard, Starr Computers on Thursday launched its smart homes, smart schools, and smart businesses section at its Brickdam, Georgetown facility. The company has said that smart home appliances, smart school applications and smart business equipment are best controlled with a tool in the hand from anywhere, anyhow, and at any time.
Smart home appliances should be affordable to every Guyanese, be they homeowner or home-renter, and Starr Computer is making this a reality for everyone, as it did with computers.
“If persons have access to a smartphone and an internet connection at home, all it takes is a visit to Starr Computer for a free software app download and free demonstration of their appliance lines to experience its simplicity and inexpensive price range,” the company has said in a release.
This company offers a smart Wi-Fi light bulb for $2500. This bulb can be connected to any standard electrical home socket, and can be controlled with a smartphone. It also comes with a full one-year replacement warranty.
Other smart Wi-Fi appliances operating on Android and IOS platform include a range of power outlets and adapters, surge protectors, surveillance cameras, animal feeders, photo frames, security alarm kits with sensors for windows and doors with phone notification – doorbell with two ways unlimited distance communications, smart body scale with BMI measurement, Wi-Fi lighting projector, and more; all with full warranty, so there is no risk.
Most items are also voice-controlled via Alexa and Google Assistant platforms.
In addition, smart school technology has now taken a life on its own – from the standard classroom environment of chalk, board, and exercise books to a totally digital platform.
