Stiff competition expected at NexGen Golf Academy Curry Q
– Top golfers to showcase their skills

The NexGen Golf Academy will feature some of the top golfers in Guyana as they launch a Curry Q, with benefits going to the Enmore Orphanage Christmas party. While many will be tantalising their taste buds with a variety of curries, some of the nation’s top golfers will be heating up the golf course.
Many of the top golfers from the Lusignan Golf Club, including President Pur Persaud, Munaf Arjune, Romel Bhagwandin, Robin Tiwari, Carlos Adams, Chet Bowling, and Ramesh Dookhoo are among the many players who will be on hand to demonstrate their skills and try to win some lucrative prizes.
The pandemic has generally forced a stop to most sporting disciplines. However, with yet another competition on, all players, whether professional or amateur, will hit the course and bring their A game while having some much-needed fun in the sun.
To top that off, Dr Joan Deo and Avinash Persaud will also be on hand to teach supporters, at no additional cost, the thrilling game of golf for half of an hour as they academy hopes to make golf a nationwide sport that can be included in every curriculum in the future.

It should also be noted that even after this prestigious even has concluded interested participants can return to the academy as the fully lighted Academy and Driving Range is COVID guidelines compliant. It provides a socially distanced environment, and is open daily from 9 am to 8pm. Prices to learn the game starts as low as $500/hour and includes unlimited balls and equipment.
