Stray animals on Region 2 roadways endangering lives – residents
Motorists and other affected road users in Region Two (Pomeroon- Supenaam) are complaining bitterly about the increase in stray animals congesting the Coastland, encroaching the roadways and endangering lives. They claim there has been an upsurge in the number of stray animals of recent, and are therefore calling on the Commander of Police ‘G’ Division to intervene and have the animals caught and placed in an enclosed area.
‘The animals are a nuisance! They are everywhere, making it difficult for us drivers. Something needs to be done; it’s not safe,” one driver lamented.
Several accidents have in the past been caused by animals roaming the roadways; and drivers and residents are also pleading with the Regional authorities to keep the animals off the road, particularly at nights.
