The Sonia Noel Foundation for Creative Arts in collaboration with Guyana Fashion Week will be hosting a charity fashion event titled “Style Mission” on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Pegasus Hotel.
This event is planned to raise funds for popular Actor/Comedian Henry Rodney for medical treatment and Corin Gibson, former lead hairstylist and make-up artist for GFW, in order to replace her leg with a prosthetic one.
Only recently, several organisations and close friends of the ailing actor have raised a sum of money to aid with his current medical condition. 
Henry, who has visited nine doctors and has done both a CT scan and an MRI, is still unsure of what exactly is his ailment. However, additional money is needed to offset his medical expenses and Guyana Fashion Designer, Sonia Noel is now doing her part.
The funding event is expected to be one with a difference, with several of Noel’s fashionable pieces on display and possibly up for auction on the day of the event. Tickets cost $4000 and $2500 and are available at Nigel’s Supermarket and Pegasus Hotel. The event will commence at 16:00h and is supported by Icon Media, Connections Travel Service and the Pegasus Hotel.
