Dear Madam,
I am making a fervent request for the residents of Block “N”, Cornelia Ida, WCD for the higher authority to check out the substandard works done by those who are responsible for cleaning drains.
Only last week were works done on the area, yet drains are filled with grass and stagnant water. Machines used to clear the area destroyed the parapets, and the stagnant water remains, causing vermin to multiply, endangering residents’ health.
The caring administration is spending a lot of money for these works to be done properly to enhance the lives of Guyanese, yet those who are responsible directly do not have the dignity and diligence to perform well. It is suggested that a benchmark be established to be used not only for Cornelia Ida, but for all of Guyana.
