Support pouring in for GCB Diamond anniversary raffle

The Guyana Cricket Board recently announced the launch of its grand fund raising 75th Anniversary Raffle in aid of youth and female cricket development. The Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) was officially formed in 1943 will next year, celebrate the milestone which is usually referred to as the Diamond Anniversary.

Approval for the raffle has already been received from the relevant authorities and tickets would go on sale during the One Day International (ODI) on Friday. Raffle tickets have been priced very inexpensively at just $200 per ticket and very conveniently in books of 25 for an even $5,000. each. The final drawing is set for April 7, 2018.
The controllers for the raffle are GBC executives; Anand Kalladeen, Raj Singh & Anand Sanasie. There would be eight very attractive prizes to be raffled out at the final drawing.
The first and second prizes take care of your transportation woes, as awesome motor car would be up for grabs while a stylish motorcycle is the second prize. The 3rd prize is a return ticket to New York for which there is a condition attached.
The round trip does not include a visa but it is anticipated that the ticket holder can either obtain a visa on his/her own or the GCB and the sponsor may be flexible to agree to a transfer of the ticket to a relative or friend of the ticket holder.
The fourth prize is a 60” Television set while the fifth prize is a beautiful gold necklace which is already sponsored by popular jewellery establishment, Steve’s Jewellery on Church street. The sixth prize is an Acer laptop computer compliments of SPR Enterprise on Brickdam, Stabroek, Georgetown, the seventh prize is a return trip for two to Kaieteur and the eight prize is a day trip for 2 to one of our most exotic resorts, Arrow point resort, which is sponsored Arrowpoint Tours, a member of the Roraima Group of Companies.
Tickets would be on sale at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence during the 3 ODIs involving West Indies and Pakistan which will be followed by a consolation drawing during the 3rd ODI on Tuesday April 11. There would be other consolation drawings in August during the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and then again in December. Tickets will also be on sale at outlets around the country and from any executive member of the GCB.
