Supreme Laundromat Inc has become the eighth and final franchise sponsor for the Demerara Cricket Board’s T10 tournament, backing Transport Trailblazers for the November 22 competition at the LBI Ground.
The tournament will raise funds for grassroots cricket development across Demerara, with eight franchises competing from 10:00h. Matches will continue under floodlights, and admission will cost G$1000.
The partnership with the Duncan Street business was formalised during a ceremony at the DCB office, where Senior Selection Panel Chairman Surendra Hiralall thanked the company for its support.
Hiralall said the tournament’s main purpose was to help develop cricket at the grassroots level and create opportunities for young boys and girls across the county.
Supreme Laundromat’s Communication and Marketing Coordinator, Kencia Nelson, said the partnership marked the company’s first involvement in cricket at this competitive level.
“We are excited to partner with the Demerara Cricket Board,” Nelson said. “This is a significant milestone for our company, marking our very first involvement in cricket at this competitive level.”

DCB Competitions Committee Chairman Avishkar Ramgobin also welcomed the company’s support and confirmed the eight-team field.
Transport Trailblazers will compete alongside Premier Insurance, Lusignan Bulls, Guyana Police Force, Mike’s Tynor XI, Young Rivals, Mae’s Spartans, and Upper Demerara Titans.
The fixtures will be drawn in the coming weeks, while the full player lists will also be released.
To maintain a strong local presence, each 15-player squad must include at least 12 players from Demerara. Franchises will be allowed a maximum of three players from outside the county.
Youth participation is also a requirement. Each squad must contain two Under-19 players, with at least one included in the starting XI.
The eligibility rules form part of the DCB’s efforts to provide a pathway for young cricketers while maintaining competitive balance among the franchises.
