Suraj Sports Bar set to stage Banks Beer Double Trouble Pool competition

The West Coast of Demerara (WCD) will be ignited with pool action once again as the Suraj Sports Bar stages its Banks Beer Double Trouble, set to commence next Sunday, April 12.
The First Street, Meten-Meer-Zorg establishment has collaborated with Banks DIH’s premier brand Banks Beer for the Rack and Break 9-Ball Scotch Doubles tournament.

A glimpse of what to expect at the Suraj Sports Bar Banks Beer Double Trouble event

The weeklong competition will see Race to 4, Final Race to 6, 9-Ball on the Spot, Break from the Box, Golden Break, and Wild 9 action.
The competition will run from Sunday, April 12 through Sunday, April 19, with the ball set to be lined up at 11:00h. Meanwhile, weekday action is slated to commence at 19:00h.
In addition, exhibition matches will be staged on Tuesday, April 14 from 19:00h and Thursday, April 16 from 19:00h also.
Pairs can register for the event via MMG, with a $10,000 entry fee attached.
The Banks Beer pool week will have a slew of attractive prizes on offer, inclusive of branded giveaways.
The first-place finisher in the Banks Beer Double Trouble competition will cart off a $160,000 grand prize inclusive of a trophy. Second place will have to settle for $80,000 and a trophy while third place receives $40,000 and a corresponding accolade. There will be two third-place awards.
On-site entertainment will be presented by the Chief Sound System’s DJ Ratty and Selector Shooter. The competition is also expected to be livestreamed.
