This Saturday, come and enjoy cuisines and music from around the world as the Indian Commemoration Trust (ICT) once again hosts “SWADISH” – an international food and drink festival.
The event is a collaboration with the various embassies and high commissions in Guyana; with authentic foods and beverages from their respective countries on sale.
Among the countries to participate in the event are: India, China, Suriname, Venezuela, Guyana, USA and more.
In addition to food, there will also be music and dances from the various participating nations.
The festival will be held at the Indian Monument Gardens and will commence at 17:00h.
A chit system is in place where a ticket is purchased for $1500 and the ticket holder receives $500 in chits. Food purchases are made with chits that can be purchased at the gate.
Proceeds for the event will go towards the maintenance of the Indian Monument Gardens.
