Taxi driver charged for dangerous driving

A Singh Street, Sisters Village, West Bank Demerara (WBD) taxi driver ended up on the wrong side of the law after Police charged him with driving dangerously earlier this month.
However, when the accused man, Keron Bourne, 23, appeared at the Wales Magistrate’s Court late last week, he denied that he drove motor car PRR 2878 in a manner dangerous to the public along the Patentia Public Road, WBD.
The Police prosecution’s team contended that Bourne committed the traffic offence on March 2, 2018. After the taxi operator pleaded not guilty after dialogue with his counsel, Pamela De Santos, he was released on $25,000 bail. De Santos, in her bail application, claimed that her client never had any prior problems with the law.
Presiding Magistrate Rushell Liverpool adjourned the matter to May 24, 2018 for disclosure and fixtures.
