Teams finalised for Golden Republic T20 Bash

The highly-anticipated Golden Republic T20 Bash just gathered significant momentum with the naming of the sides to go head to head in the feature at the Guyana National Stadium on Friday, February 21 from 18:00h.
With the likes of Sherfane Rutherford and Shimron Hetmyer leading the teams, a host of international and Caribbean Premier League (CPL) stars will turn out as Guyana celebrates 50 years as a Republic.
The Hurricanes have picked Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies T20 batsman Lendl Simmons, Christopher Barnwell, West Indies Under-19 World Cup duo Kevlon Anderson and Ashmead Nedd and impressive fast bowler Nial Smith while opener Chandrapaul Hemraj, Anthony Bramble and all-rounders Rayad Emrit, Raymon Reifer and current Jaguars Captain Leon Johnson will take the field for the Renegades.
At 14:00h, national champions Regal All-Stars will take on their arch-rivals Ariel Speed Boat in a softball match to get things going in what is expected to be an electric atmosphere. The day’s event is organised by the Ministry of the Presidency’s Department of Social Cohesion with responsibility for Culture, Youth and Sport in collaboration with the Guyana Cricket Board. Tickets are on sale at the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) office at Regent Road, Bourda for $2000 for any stand and vehicle parking passes are $1000 each.
