Home News Technician robbed of motorcar while urinating
A 27-year-old technician was on Wednesday attacked and robbed of his motorcar, among other items, by four armed men at Tucville Terrace, East La Penitence, Georgetown.
The Police have said that on the day in question, at about 10:50h, the victim was driving through Tucville Terrace when he stopped to urinate, leaving the driver’s door open with the car’s ignition running.
He was confronted by the four perpetrators – two of whom were armed with handguns. They reportedly arrived on two motorcycles – registration number, model and colour unknown.
One of the pillion riders dismounted the motorcycle, pulled out a handgun from his pants waist, pointed it at the victim, and demanded that he hand over his valuables.
After committing the act, the said pillion rider drove off with the motorcar, which had one iPhone X, one Lenovo laptop and $17,000 in cash. The other perpetrators also left the scene, and the man was left standing helplessly on the roadway.
The matter was later reported to the Police and an investigation has been launched. No arrest has as yet been made in connection with this robbery.
