Teen charged for snatching cellphone

A 19-year-old who allegedly snatched a cellular phone was on Friday released on $70,000 bail when he appeared before Magistrate Leron Daly at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
Travell Christopher Pinhello of Lot 30 Second Street, Liliendaal, East Coast Demerara, denied the charge when it was read to him.
It is alleged that the teen on January 30, 2019, at Crown Street, Queenstown, robbed Ismael Griffith of a cellphone valued $50,000.
The prosecution did not object to bail and the teen was released on $70,000 bail.
The case will continue on February 15, 2019.
