Home News Teen cyclist struck down by motorist
A teen is currently a patient at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) after he was struck from behind while riding a pedal cycle on Robb Street, Georgetown.
The 13-year-old student of St John’s College has reportedly sustained severe injuries about his body as a result of the accident.
According to witnesses, the motorcycle which struck the teen was driven by Romeo Cambridge, bearing registration number CC4437.
The teen was heading towards Camp Street when the motorcyclist slammed into the bicycle from behind.
Guyana Times understands that the bicycle the young lad was riding at the time of the accident had no reflectors or lights. However, the motorcyclist was taken into custody as Police continue their investigations.
