Teen killed after being struck down at Craig, EBD

A teenager was on Saturday evening killed after he was reportedly struck by one car and run over by another at Craig Village, East Bank Demerara (EBD). The identity of the dead teen was not immediately available.
The car that reportedly struck the teen is a black Fielder Wagon bearing registration number PXX 2746, while PXX 8548 ran him over.
Based on reports received, the teenager was seen leaving a nearby shop with a bottle of water, and was attempting to cross the road when he was struck. He was in the company of another person, who managed to run to safety.
The now dead teenager was reportedly dragged a short distance before the car came to a halt. He was pulled from under the car in a conscious state, but reportedly succumbed shortly after. Up to press time, the Police Communications Unit had not released any information on the accident.
