Dead: Elijah Profitt

Dead is Elijah Profitt of Craig Street, Campbellville. Reports are that the accident occurred at about 10:30h.
According to Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) footage, the teenager was not wearing a helmet as he proceeded west along Craig Street at a fast rate of speed. He then lost control of the motorcycle and collided into the right-side rear of a motor pick-up.
As a result of the impact, the motorcyclist received injuries to his head and about his body.

When Guyana Times visited Profitt’s home, his family was too traumatised to speak with the media.
However, one of his aunts said the family suffered a great loss because her nephew was “very special.”

Investigations into the fatal accident continue. However, it is unclear if the motorcyclist was the holder of a driver’s licence or provisional licence. (G9)
