An 18-year-old Charlestown resident was on Wednesday afternoon nabbed in Albouystown, Georgetown with an unlicensed firearm.

Reports are the teen, of Howes and Charles Streets, Charlestown, Georgetown, was seen by ranks on patrol acting in a suspicious manner.
As such, he was stopped and searched. An unlicensed .32 pistol with a live round was found concealed in his crotch.
He was taken into Police custody and was being processed for court.
On Saturday last, ranks swooped down at Wild Lang Mission, Potaro, Essequibo and found concealed under a shed a single-barrel 12-gauge shotgun and a .38 revolver.
Twenty-two live 12-gauge cartridges, 14 empty 12-gauge casings and a shotgun stock were also found.
However, an arrest is yet to be made for that find.
