Teen robbed of passport, other items

A teenager was on Tuesday evening relieved of a haversack containing one Guyana Passport with a valid United States Visa and $4000 after disembarking a passenger minibus at North Ruimveldt, Georgetown.
Shaqueal Blair, a student of Lot 312 Lamaha Park, Georgetown, reportedly exited the bus in the vicinity of Kaikan Street, North Ruimveldt and two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, accosted him and demanded that he hand over his valuables.
The 19-year-old recalled standing at a double corner which was poorly lit when he felt an object placed to his back and as he turned around, he realised that one man, accompanied by another, was holding a gun to his head.
They then relieved him of the haversack containing the articles and successfully made their escape. The matter was reported and an investigation was launched.
