A teenager is now hospitalised after he was shot twice during a heated argument while disembarking a Route 41 minibus at Croal Street, Georgetown.
Eighteen-year-old Leon Blake, a vendor of North East La Penitence, Georgetown, was shot once to his left hand and once to his left thigh.
Based on reports received, the teenager and the other young man involved were both passengers in the minibus when the argument ensued. According to reports, the argument went on for quite some time; however, as the bus arrived at its destination, the two young men were disembarking when the suspect whipped out a handgun and discharged two rounds at Blake.
After Blake fell to the ground, the gunman, whose identity was given to the Police, fled the scene. The injured teenager was escorted to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was admitted. His condition is listed as stable.
The suspect is still on the run, but the Police are making every effort to arrest him.
