A teenage boy who reportedly raped a 17-year-old girl of Mazaruni, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) was on Tuesday slapped with a rape charge and appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts before city Magistrate Leron Daly.
Eighteen-year-old Etzer Hope, also of Mazaruni, Region Seven, reportedly engaged in sexual activity with the young woman last month.
The prosecution did not release any information about the matter in court. However, the teen was released on $200,000 bail. The case will continue on June 18, 2018 at the Kamarang Magistrate’s Court.
