Teen who allegedly jumped to death from moving car laid to rest

– boyfriend remains in Police custody

Four days after 19-year old Sasia Adams jumped to her death, she was laid to rest at the Charity Cemetery, Essequibo Coast on Friday. She was given an emotional send off with relatives and close friends in attendance.
Her body was at her Jacklow, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) home where relatives and friends gathered to offer words of condolence and encouragement to her mother. As she was laid to rest, her boyfriend remains in custody.
The young woman, formerly of Pomeroon, who resided at East Street, Georgetown, was reportedly rushed to the Dr Balwant Singh Hospital on Tuesday last by her 21-year-old boyfriend of Diamond, East Bank Demerara.
There, he reportedly told nurses that the teenager jumped from his moving car while they were proceeding along Lamaha Street, Georgetown.
Guyana Times was told that the young woman, who was conscious at the time of admission, later told doctors that she fell at home. She was admitted into the Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with severe head injuries and succumbed to her injuries.
A post-mortem examination conducted on the body of Adams on Wednesday revealed that she died as a result of blunt trauma to the head.
